Making this cutting board wall is so easy! The first thing I did was measure how high up I wanted the first rail – I took a few pictures of me holding it at different heights so I could gauge what I liked the most. From there, I used a pencil and marked the holes of where the screws needed to be. Note: I put up the top rail first, and hung up some cutting boards so I could decide how much lower I wanted the second rail to be.
I grabbed my Ryobi power drill and drilled the pilot holes, I decided to use drywall anchors too because I wanted the extra strength with the cutting boards. I hammered in the drywall anchors, then screwed in the IKEA rail. BAM – already half way done!! 🙂 I hung up some cutting boards then, and lined up where I wanted my second (bottom) rail – then I just repeated the process.
Voila, you have a cutting board wall! I decided to decorate mine with a wreath and a hanging net bag 🙂
